Not long ago, reports were rife that Chiyaan Vikram had been finalised for a key role in Rajamouli’s highly anticipated globe-trotting adventure, SSMB29.
However, Vikram remained silent on the matter — and now the latest buzz is that R Madhavan has stepped in.
After Vikram reportedly turned down the role, which carries some negative shades, Rajamouli approached R Madhavan, who readily accepted the offer.
Vikram is said to have declined the role despite being offered a hefty paycheck, while Madhavan was quick to come on board.
The film stars Mahesh Babu in the lead, with Priyanka Chopra playing the female lead.
Rajamouli, meanwhile, has been working hard to rope in several big names for this ambitious project.
