The Andhra Pradesh government earlier announced some relief measures to the Telugu film industry which had suffered heavy losses due to the prolonged lockdown. In this regard, the government today issued a G.O.
As per the request of Telugu film industry bodies, the government waived fixed electricity charges for single screens and multiplexes in the state for April, May, and June 2020.
It also agreed for the differed payment of fixed electricity charges from July 2020 to December 2020. This is a big relief for the theatre owners.
The government has also agreed to interest subvention on the loans taken by the theater owners from banks. The maximum loan amount is Rs 10 lakhs A and B Centers and Rs 5 lakhs for C centers.
Similar measures were also announced by the Telangana government.
As soon as the GO was issued, megastar Chiranjeevi took to social media to thank YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
He praised the CM for his great helpful measures that would give a huge relief to the movie industry.
