“Shyam Singha Roy is a beautiful love story and it is name of a single character, though Nani played two roles.

Venkat informs he has been associated with the industry for 12 years and it’s a dream come true to make production debut with a Nani starrer.

As is known, the film’s story is set in Kolkata backdrop. “Good thing about the film is it will take us back to 1970’s in Kolkata in terms of culture, the milieu back then.

We shot the movie in a village which is 400 kms away from Kolkata and also in huge sets erected in Hyderabad.”

Venkat admits the film’s budget increased due to covid and incessant rains which damaged the sets.

The producer affirms the story of Shyam Singha Roy has universal appeal , thus they are releasing it in all south languages.

“I presume the film will be remade in Hindi language,” he says.
