Shambhala Tops New Releases, Eesha Holds Ground

The Telugu box office witnessed multiple new releases hitting theatres at the same time, but Shambhala clearly emerged as the best opener among them.

Compared to other new films such as Champion, Eesha, Dhandora, and Patang, Shambhala registered a stronger opening, driven by better buzz and encouraging audience response.

From morning shows itself, Shambhala recorded healthy occupancy across key centres in both Telugu states.

Trade circles attribute the solid start to positive pre-release promotions and early word of mouth, which helped the film gain an edge over the competition on opening day.

While Champion, Dhandora, and Patang opened to relatively low occupancy and struggled to attract large crowds, Eesha managed to stand out to some extent.

After Shambhala, Eesha has been the only other new release showing decent occupancy in theatres across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The film has found appreciation in select centres, especially during evening and night shows.

Industry observers note that in a crowded release scenario, audience attention tends to concentrate on one or two films that create early impact.

At present, Shambhala is leading the pack, with Eesha following at a distance, while the remaining releases are finding it difficult to sustain momentum.

The next few days will be crucial, as word of mouth will play a decisive role in determining which films manage to hold their screens and grow over the weekend.
