Several celebrities made significant tax contributions this year, with Shah Rukh Khan topping the list.
Thanks to the massive success of Pathaan (2023) and Jawan (2023), both of which grossed over ₹1,000 crore at the box office, Khan reportedly paid ₹92 crore in taxes.
Close behind was South Indian star Thalapathy Vijay, whose film The Greatest of All Time (2023) earned over ₹600 crore. Vijay paid ₹80 crore in taxes.
Salman Khan followed with ₹75 crore, while Amitabh Bachchan contributed ₹71 crore.
Cricketer Virat Kohli also made the list, paying ₹66 crore in taxes. Kareena Kapoor Khan was the sole female celebrity among the top contributors, with ₹10 crore.
These figures, as reported by Fortune India, are based on advance tax payments made by the stars.
