SS Rajamouli is in the midst of securing nominations for his blockbuster magnum opus, RRR, at the upcoming Academy Awards.
At the same time, his father and veteran screenwriter KV Vijayendra Prasad is working on the final draft of their new film, starring south star Mahesh Babu.
The film is said to be a jungle adventure thriller and in the same space as the Indiana Jones franchise.
The yet-untitled film is slated to go on floors later this year. Interestingly, the father-son duo are rumoured to be planning their Mahesh-starrer as a franchise, which was later confirmed by Prasad when he said in an interview that the film could have sequels in future.
“The central characters will remain the same, but the storylines will keep changing.”
