Director Sekhar Kammula has yet to wrap up the filming of Kubera, a project he has been working on for nearly two years. However, with the film now in its final stages of production, the director recently shared insights about it.
In a recent interview, Kammula confirmed that Dhanush plays the role of a beggar in the film. He admitted that he was initially hesitant to approach Dhanush for such a role.
"To my surprise, Dhanush told me he is a fan of my work. He patiently listened to the story and agreed to do it," Kammula revealed.
Nagarjuna Akkineni, on the other hand, will be seen portraying a former police officer. The dynamic equation between Nagarjuna and Dhanush is expected to be a major highlight of the film.
Although Dhanush had initially allocated 100 days for the shoot, after observing Kammula's meticulous and slow-paced approach, he generously provided additional dates.
Trade circles are eagerly anticipating the film's release, with expectations that it will hit theaters this summer.
