Kriti Sanon’s sister, Nupur Sanon, who launched her clothing line Nobo in 2024, is facing backlash online for the brand's steep pricing of what many call “basic” outfits.
Reddit users criticized the collection, which features clothes priced as high as ₹27,000, accusing the brand of lacking originality and premium quality.
The line is endorsed by several celebrities, including Kriti Sanon, Nupur herself, Uorfi Javed, Sanjana Sanghi, and Rida Tharana.
Nobo’s pricing drew sharp criticism on Reddit, where users called the prices "ridiculous."
The most expensive lehenga listed is a Banarasi piece priced at ₹21,000. The priciest suit costs ₹26,500, while the most affordable set starts at ₹7,700.
In the western wear section, the highest-priced item is a skirt and crop top set for ₹20,000, while the cheapest is a pair of shorts at ₹2,400.
The trolling intensified with sarcastic comments. One Reddit user wrote, "No Bo is short for 'Nobody Bought it.'"
Another called the designs "the ugliest clothes I've ever seen."
Others commented, "Money laundering," and "She forgot to complete the brand name — it should be 'Label NoboDY IS BUYING THIS OVERPRICED FAST FASHION.'"
Nupur Sanon first gained popularity with the 2019 music video Filhall alongside Akshay Kumar, followed by its sequel Filhall 2: Mohabbat (2021).
However, her fashion venture has drawn criticism for high prices and a lack of originality.
