Rishab Shetty’s much-awaited film Kantara Chapter 1, the prequel to the blockbuster Kantara, is all set to hit cinemas this Dussehra.
The team recently celebrated the film’s pre-release event in Hyderabad, with NTR attending as the chief guest.
Rishab Shetty expressed his gratitude to the Telugu audience for the warm welcome, saying he felt right at home.
He also thanked NTR for gracing the occasion and earnestly requested the Telugu audience to extend their wholehearted support to the film.
Recalling his childhood, NTR shared heartfelt memories of his grandmother’s storytelling.
“Back then, I used to wonder whether those stories were true or not, but I loved them. I remember thinking, ‘What is the Guliga play all about? Who are the Panjurlis? I must see them at least once.’ Those thoughts took root in me from a very young age. But never did I imagine that one day, a director would bring those very stories to life on the big screen. That director is none other than Rishab Shetty.”
NTR had high praise for Rishab. “Rishab is a very rare breed of director and actor. I’ve always wondered whether the director in him dominates, or the actor. But it’s not just about the actor or the director, Rishab commands every aspect of the 24 crafts of filmmaking.”
He also thanked Rishab for accompanying him and his family and fulfilling his mother’s long-cherished wish of visiting the Udupi Krishna Temple.
Concluding his speech, NTR confidently predicted massive blockbuster success for Kantara Chapter 1.
