Prabhas is set to return with The Raja Saab, a horror-comedy film hitting theatres on December 5, 2025.
The film is directed by Maruthi and produced by People Media Factory.
What’s making news is that Prabhas has reportedly reduced his usual fee of Rs 150 crore to Rs 100 crore for this project — a cut of Rs 50 crore.
This pay cut is believed to be linked to the underperformance of Adipurush, which was backed by the same production house. Though it had hype, the film failed at the box office.
Still, Prabhas bounced back later with Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, which reportedly made over Rs 600 crore, and Kalki 2898 AD, which earned around Rs 1,200 crore globally.
The Raja Saab brings a new mix of romance, comedy and horror — a big change from Prabhas's usual action or mythological films. The teaser will be released on June 16.
The film stars Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Ridhi Kumar, with music by Thaman S and cinematography by Karthik Palani. It will release in five languages across India.
