Pooja Hegde has signed to play the female lead opposite Ram Charan in director Koratala Siva’s “Acharya”. Pooja Hegde was not the first choice.
Kiara Advani and other Bollywood actresses were initially approached. But finally, the makers have roped in Pooja Hegde.
Pooja Hegde is one of the highest-paid actresses in South India. She is also busy with high-profile projects with Prabhas, Salman Khan, and Ranveer Singh. So, getting her dates has also become a huge task for the team of “Acharya”.
Pooja reportedly put a condition to signing this film: paying her full remuneration. Ram Charan is not playing the hero in “Acharya”.
His father Megastar Chiranjeevi is the protagonist of the story, and Charan appears in an extended guest role. So, Pooja Hegde will not have a full-length role either.
However, she wanted her usual remuneration. The makers have agreed to give the total salary that she normally charges for a movie.
She will join the shoot next month.
