Bollywood filmmakers are fast catching up on the OTT craze by making some bingeworthy series.
Here are two recent entries into the stream of Hindi shows that have grabbed eyeballs with notable lead actors.
1) Aarya: This crime drama created by Ram Madhvani is based on Dutch series Penoza. Sushmita Sen played the titular role in this very engaging series that draws you into its world from the word get go.
It is a beautifully woven family drama with a crime backdrop and well etched characters.
Although the show is predictable in parts it keeps you hooked with some well written episodes that are wonderfully executed too.
Sushmita Sen is too good as a tough lady who has to deal with the family politics and crime bosses that always keep her on the toes.
This nine-part series sets things nicely for its second season.

2) Breathe: Into The Shadows: Abhishek Bachchan played the lead role in this crime thriller, which is a sequel to Madhavan starrer Breathe.
The sequel is also created and directed by Mayank Sharma, who tries to make its known premise interesting by giving it a new spin.
The first season was fairly engaging, thanks to a credible performance by Madhavan. Here, Abhishek gets to play an interesting character, but couldn’t live up to the challenge. Nitya Menen is good as a mother who will go to any extent for the sake of her kid.
Into The Shadows is mildly intriguing in parts, but is unnecessarily dragged in the middle. A shorter version would have helped the overall viewing experience.
That said, the plot has enough intrigue to keep us invested in the show, despite some highly illogical elements that heavily relies upon.
