With exactly nine days left for its North American theatrical debut, Pawan Kalyan’s OG is generating massive buzz.
The film’s premiere shows are confirmed for September 24, and it has already created several records in terms of pre-sale bookings for premiere screenings.
However, as of this point — just nine days before release — OG has not seen a major surge in ticket sales.
In fact, advance bookings for Kalki 2898 AD are slightly ahead at the same stage ($1.51M). Nevertheless, OG ($1.50M) is closely tracking Kalki’s pre-release sales pattern.
Currently, Kalki 2898 AD holds the record as the highest-grossing Indian movie from premiere shows in North America.
The big question now is whether OG will maintain this momentum, break new records, or experience a slowdown in the coming days.
Previous highly anticipated films like Pushpa 2 and Devara followed a similar early trend but eventually lost steam.
The industry is watching closely to see if OG can sustain its trajectory and carve a new milestone.
