OG Ticket Prices Rolled Back, No Future Hikes in T'gana

In a major twist, the Telangana government has revised its earlier G.O. that permitted a sharp hike in ticket prices for Pawan Kalyan’s OG.

This comes after a petition was filed in the High Court challenging the government’s decision.

The court came down strongly on the state for allowing inflated ticket rates and made serious observations.

Following this, the government issued a modified G.O., directing theaters to revert to standard pricing as per existing regulations. Exhibitors have already begun implementing regular ticket rates.

The Telangana government has previously faced public criticism and court reprimands for contradictory decisions regarding premiere shows and ticket pricing.

Now, there is growing talk that the state may not permit any ticket price hikes for upcoming releases.

This could impact several big films lined up, including Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 in December, followed by The Raja Saab and Mana Siva Shankara Vara Prasad Garu in January.

It remains to be seen how the situation will unfold in Telangana in the coming months.
