No Studio, No Business Push: Chiru Speaks Out

No Studio, No Business Push: Chiru Speaks Out

Megastar Chiranjeevi said he is thinking of doing a few podcasts based on the lessons life has taught him and his personal experiences.

He spent some time interacting with Tollywood media, during which he shared that his daughter Sushmita and writer BVS Ravi came up with this idea.

While some people have suggested making a documentary on him, Chiranjeevi said he personally prefers doing podcasts.

During the interaction, he recalled many incidents from his life.

He said that after entering politics, he was completely disconnected from films for nearly nine years. He recalled that when someone told him Kajal would be the heroine for Khaidi No. 150, he asked, “Kajal? Who is that girl?” He said he didn’t know Tamannaah either at that time. That was how far removed he was from cinema.

He added that he could not manage both politics and films together, but said his brother Pawan Kalyan has that ability, while responding to a question.

Chiranjeevi said he has always shared a close relationship with the media. He mentioned that while giving one photo for cover pages was usually enough, he would patiently change outfits and do separate photo shoots for everyone.

He also recalled a communication gap he once had with the editor of a film magazine in the past.

He clarified that his recent trip to Davos happened by chance. He said when he was going there, many of his friends were already present and requested him to represent the film industry, so he went.

He stressed that he has no connection with politics now and said leaders from all parties are his friends.

Chiranjeevi openly said he does not know how to handle businesses and that such things are best handled by Allu Aravind.

He said he never claimed he would build studios and has no interest in doing so. He explained that businesses cannot be run by depending only on staff and added that studios are not very profitable, except for the increase in land value.

Replying to another question, he said that if the right opportunity comes, it would be good to do a big programme on behalf of the industry, and even media friends could take the initiative for such an event.

Talking about his daily routine, Chiranjeevi said he hardly gets any free time. His day usually includes gym workouts in the morning, an hour of sleep in the afternoon, and meeting friends in the evening if they visit. He said he goes to bed by 9:30 pm and falls asleep peacefully as soon as he lies down.

He also revealed that his upcoming film with director Bobby will be a mass entertainer and will be made in Bobby’s trademark style.
