Narappa and Drushyam 2 are the films in which Venkatesh played the pivotal lead role.
Both the films are sold out to OTT platforms at impressive prices. Both are remakes from Tamil and Malayalam respectively.
Daggubati Suresh closed the deal suspecting the reopening of theatres and the traction at the box offices.
As per the grapevine, both the films together fetched Rs 70 Cr to Suresh Babu. It is yet to be known if both the films were sold out to Hotsar or one went to Amazon Prime.
Inside information is that Rana starring Virataparvam is also going to be sold to an OTT. If this film also closes the deal, there is no other film in making from the Suresh compound.
"The producer cum exhibitor who talked on behalf of all the exhibitors of AP and Telangana recently has made his business on OTT implying that the theatres business is dead and gone. He voices out for the well being of the exhibitors in public but his acts are other way round", quipped an insider in the film industry who shared this news.
