Some screens in the multiplexes and a couple of single screens in Vizag and other places in Andhra Pradesh reopened today as per safety norms.
On the first day, Varun INOX had screened Nithin’s “Bheeshma”. Only 10 tickets had been sold for two shows together.
Despite the lackluster response from the audiences on the first day, the cinema halls and multiplexes would continue screening old movies until things settle down.
Cinema halls across India remained shut for the last seven months due to COVID19.
Multiplex chains have begun their operations across the nation with fifty percent seating capacity. Single screens in most parts of the Andhra Pradesh have remained shut.
