Telangana Chief Minister KCR’s statement that he suggested extending lockdown to Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made Tollywood biggies worrying about their shooting dates. As things stand today, the lockdown will be extended until April end.
So, no shootings will be resumed for another month.
This is putting huge stress on Rajamouli who needs to wrap the shooting of “RRR” as early as possible to give the final output to the VFX team. Another 25 percent of the portion is left to be canned.
The film requires a minimum of six months for the post-production work.
The VFX work is already under progress for the scenes that have already been canned but the final correction and overall postproduction needs time.
Alia Bhatt is yet to join the shoot. She is playing the role of Sita, wife of Alluri Sita Ramaraju, being played by Ram Charan.
The Rs 350 Cr budgeted period drama is one of the most-awaited movies in India. Scheduled for Jan 20, 2021 release, “RRR” has NTR playing the role of Komaram Bheem.
Rajamouli is planning to complete the shooting of the movie by July end. If the lockdown gets extended, he will face problems.
