Tamil hit 96 is being remade in Telugu as Jaanu with Sharwanand and Samantha playing the lead roles. Original director Prem Kumar is directing the remake on Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations banner.
The teaser for Jaanu gives us an impression that it is a scene to scene remake of the original.
Samantha and Sharwa are looking good in their respective roles. It is not an easy job to do what Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha pulled off in the original.
Jaanu teaser will not disappoint 96 fans and will appeal to those who haven't watched the original. The production values of SVC looks better and far more accomplished compared to the Tamil film, though.
Jaanu is gearing up for release in February.
