The officials are reportedly enquiring the business details and filing of IT returns. More details are awaited.

“Kannappa” not only stars Manchu Vishnu in the role, it also has big names like Prabhas, Mohanlal, and Akashay Kumar. Kajal Aggarwal also played Goddess Parvathi.
Despite such big names, Vishnu said Prabhas and Mohanlal didn’t take any single remuneration. IT officials probably had doubts regarding his claims.
