In Andhra Pradesh, the ticket rates are abysmally low. In Telangana, the rates are extremely high.
The Telangana government recently issued a G.O allowing multiplex theaters to increase the ticket prices up to Rs 300.
The multiplexes in Hyderabad have implemented the new rates for this Friday’s release. Sree Vishnu starrer “Arjuna Phalguna” is now being sold for Rs 295 in all multiplexes in Hyderabad.
Who will watch small movies for such high prices? No wonder that all multiplexes are showing low ticket sales for the movie.
The multiplexes should realize small movies will not see any patronage if the high admission fee gets fixed.
Such high rates work only for big starrer projects or films that have generated craze.
