Mamitha Baiju, riding high on the success of her recent film Dude, has dismissed circulating reports claiming she received Rs 15 crore for her role.
The actress expressed her surprise at the news, saying she was shocked when someone sent her a link to the social media posts.
“There were reports circulating on social media claiming that I received Rs 15 crore as my salary for the movie. I’m not active on social media, but seeing the comments honestly took me by surprise,” Mamitha said.
She added that many people seemed to believe the rumors without questioning their authenticity.
Mamitha also addressed some of the reactions, stating, “Some even wrote things like, ‘Has she really become that big to demand Rs 15 crore?’ People should understand that not everything they see on social media is true.”
She urged fans and the public to verify information before spreading it further.
