Got Best Complement For TNR From Aadhya

Renu Desai is making a comeback to films with Ravi Teja and Vamsee’s Pan India film Tiger Nageswara Rao where she played the role of social reformer Hemalatha Lavanam.

The actress says she was awe-struck to know about Hemalatha when Vamsee approached her for the character in Tiger Nageswara Rao.

“She went to Chambal and Bundel in 60s and 70s and met dacoits. She fought the Jogini system as well. She is an inspiration to many like me. The only regret in my life is that I couldn’t meet her because she passed away in 2008.”

Renu Desai informs that she has done her research for the character. “I met Hemalatha’s niece and tried to know more about her. I tried my best to be natural in the character. There’s a huge impact of the character on me. I realized that what I was doing was not enough. I’m trying now to push more. I started my NGO during Covid and trying to help the needy.”

She says she got the best compliment from her daughter Aadhya. “After watching the trailer she appreciated me for playing the role that suits my age.”

Renu Desai thanked producer Abhishek Agarwal for all the hospitality during the making of the movie.
