“Dude” has turned out to be a super hit, performing exceptionally well even in the Telugu states.
However, all the spotlight went to the film’s lead actor Pradeep Ranganathan, who scored his third consecutive success and dominated the limelight.
The film’s heroine Mamitha Baiju, who played Pradeep’s maradalu, impressed audiences with her charm, expressive eyes, and graceful dance moves.
Despite her growing popularity, she hasn’t gained the same level of craze among Telugu audiences.
Mamitha first rose to fame with the Malayalam blockbuster “Premalu,” which opened doors for her in Tamil cinema, including “Dude” and Vijay’s “Jana Nayagan.”
She is now set to make her Telugu debut opposite Suriya in Venky Atluri’s upcoming film, produced by Sithara Entertainments.
Surprisingly, despite her success across Malayalam and Tamil industries, Mamitha hasn’t yet received any offer to star opposite a Telugu hero — be it a young actor or a top star.
It remains curious why Telugu producers haven’t shown much interest in casting her alongside native stars, even after her consistent hits elsewhere.
