Actress Divi Vadthya has released a firm statement through an audio clip, urging the media and social media users not to drag her name into the ongoing drug controversy linked to singer Mangli’s birthday party.
The controversy erupted after a police raid at a resort near Chevella, where significant quantities of marijuana and foreign liquor were allegedly seized.
Following the raid, several media outlets and YouTube channels began speculating about the presence of various celebrities at the party.
Some even falsely claimed that Divi Vadthya was among those who tested positive for drug use.
Refuting these allegations, Divi clarified that simply attending a friend’s celebration does not mean she was involved in any illegal activity.
“I didn’t do anything wrong apart from attending a party I was invited to,” she stated.
She further stressed that baseless rumors and irresponsible reporting can have a devastating effect on the careers of self-made individuals like herself.
“I’ve built my career through hard work and dedication. False and reckless reporting doesn’t just damage reputations—it can ruin lives,” Divi added.
