Dil Raju to Avoid Ticket Hikes for Future Films

Dil Raju to Avoid Ticket Hikes for Future Films

Producer Dil Raju, in a series of media interviews, opened up about various issues currently affecting the Telugu film industry.

He expressed concern that many top stars are not acknowledging the reality of the situation.

Dil Raju emphasized that actors should focus on the actual box office collections of their films rather than inflated figures.

He also admitted that the entire industry — including himself — bears responsibility for the declining revenues.

He pointed out that producers made a mistake by increasing ticket prices for every film, regardless of budget or hype.

As a result, audiences have started waiting for word-of-mouth reviews or OTT releases instead of rushing to theaters.

Dil Raju proposed that producers should stop requesting ticket hikes for mid-range or regular films.

It remains unclear whether he will completely stop seeking government approval for ticket hikes for big-star movies.

However, he indicated that he is against any such hike for at least the next year, including for his upcoming production, the Nithiin-starrer Thammudu.
