'Custody' First Week Report: Huge Loss

'Custody' First Week Report: Huge Loss

Naga Chaitanya starrer "Custody" has completed one week of its theatrical release. However, this movie has incurred significant losses for the buyers and exhibitors this week.

On a whole till now, "Custody" seems to have generated a share of Rs 6 crore in the Telugu states.

In comparison to the pre-release business in Andhra, Seeded, and Nizam, "Custody" failed to break even by 50 percent.

It is well-known that if a movie fails to break even by at least 50 percent within the first week, it becomes difficult to recover.

"Custody" received negative reviews on its first day of release. The production team hoped that the word-of-mouth would improve on the second day, leading to an increase in audience turnout.

However, no such miracles occurred, and the occupancy for "Custody" continued to decline with dwindling collections.

The film is directed by Venkat Prabhu and stars Naga Chaitanya as the lead actor, with Kriti Shetty in a supporting role. Ilayaraja and Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music for the film.

Despite having a substantial budget and a well-executed setup, the movie's outcome was disappointing.
