Censored Talk: Kamal Hassan's On Sanatana Dharma

Kamal Haasan recently gave interviews to the Telugu media as part of his film promotions.

While the initial interactions seemed routine, controversy followed when his team reportedly censored questions and answers from the records that weren't related to the movie.

One such interview, with Great Andhra, included a segment discussing Sanatana Dharma—a topic currently stirring political debate in Tamil Nadu and across India.

When asked about his view on Sanatana Dharma, Kamal replied, “I have no opinion. My religion is different. That is their belief, and mine is followed by more people, so there’s no need to worry.”

When pressed about his family's background in Sanatana Dharma, he responded, “Maybe, but my father never imposed it on me. He let me grow with freedom. That’s how I found my own path.”

Though Kamal did answer, the fact that this portion was removed by 'Thug Life' team speaks about how afraid they are.

Well, they could censor this talk from the recorded interview what can they do now with Kamal Haasan and Kannada uproar?

Kamal spoke from the dais and that was beyond censor limits of 'Thug Life' time. Kamal is still adamant to say sorry which may potentially trouble his film in the region.
