Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas’ latest outing, the occult thriller Kishkindhapuri, is turning out to be a commercially successful project, thanks to meticulous planning and efficient execution.
Directed by Kaushik Pegallapati and produced by Sahu Garapati under the Shine Screens banner, the film was made on a moderate budget of 32 crore.
The team managed to wrap up the shoot in just 70 days, striking a fine balance between speed and quality. Equal emphasis was placed on technical aspects, resulting in a visually striking experience.
A significant portion of the film’s budget, nearly 80%, was recovered through non-theatrical deals, including satellite, digital, and Hindi dubbing rights. Sreenivas is known to have strong market value for Hindi rights.
Additionally, the makers secured an advance of 8 crore from theatrical business. With these recoveries, the film has already entered the safe zone for producer, distributors, and exhibitors.
With encouraging word of mouth, Kishkindhapuri is expected to continue its strong performance in the second week.
Overall, the movie stands as a profitable venture, benefiting all parties involved.
Finally, a much-needed break for Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, after Rakshasudu, and a welcome sigh of relief for producer Sahu Garapati, who has been awaiting a proper hit since Bhagavanth Kesari.
