As soon as Nara Chandrababu Naidu had announced Amaravathi as the new capital for Andhra Pradesh four years ago, several Tollywood stars had shown interest to invest money in real estate in Vijayawada and Guntur surroundings. However, many of them had backed off after rates skyrocketed.
One star who used to work around the year with multiple releases had bought huge acres of land near Amaravathi.
He had invested big money thereby selling off some properties in Hyderabad. He also bought farmland in the Krishna district.
Likewise, another top-range star also invested money on the advice of his close buddy who hails from the Vijayawada region. This buddy brought him a brand endorsement from Amaravathi.
Besides being a brand ambassador for the real estate company, the big star also bought some plots in that venture.
Both these stars are now said to be worried about the fate of Amaravathi as the capital city.
According to media reports, the real estate sector is crashing down there. It is doubtful that this area will see a boom again.
The only solace for these two stars is that they also have invested money in real estate of Vizag long back. What they are losing in Amaravathi may gain from Vizag.
However, the luckiest star from these new developments is a senior top star who has more than 100 acres of land in the outskirts of Vishakapatnam.
