Although Nandamuri Balakrshna is one of the biggest stars in Telugu land and his movies set records at domestic box-office, he is not a big name in USA market. For the first time, he is likely to join one million dollars club.
Krish directed "Gautamiputra Satakarni" has already crossed the lifetime gross of Balakrishna's biggest hit "Legend".
In 2014, "Legend" collected about $410k. "Gautamiputra Satakarni" has already grossed $477k so far. It got huge amount from Premiere shows ($373k). Since this is long weekend, the movie is likely to perform strongly and may join the million dollars club.
While the critics didn't go gaga over the film, the promotions and the talk did the trick. So it remains to be seen how it would perform this weekend.
Starring Balakrishna as the emperor Satakarni, the movie is directed by Krish.
