Mahesh Babu's “Maharshi” premiered last Wednesday and has completed its long weekend run on a decent note.
Numbers for premiere shows were shockingly low. It had not able to draw in big numbers the next day.
The first day collections coupled with premiere numbers gave the impression that the movie is heading towards all-time disaster.
Luckily, ‘Maharshi’ has seen turnaround of fortunes later. The last three days bringing in more than $200k each day has made all the difference and the overall gross is decent number for a Mahesh Babu movie. The film’s cumulative gross in first weekend (long) stands at $1.4 million.

This is respectable figure but a lot low number for a Mahesh starrer. The film was bought for Rs 11.5 Cr for overseas, it needs to collect about $2.2 million to reach to break-even in USA.
