Poor Start: Om Namo Venkatesaya Day 1 Shares

Nagarjuna’s Om Namo Venkatesaya is off to a very poor start all over. The film’s first day collection in overseas as well the domestic circuit is shockingly low. It couldn’t even collect Rs. 2 crore share from the Telugu states on Day 1.

Films of this genre usually tend to start slow, but this is way less than the expected range. Buyers spent big on this film considering Nagarjuna’s recent track record and Annamayya-Sriramadasu factor.

Thankfully, Saturday trends were better as the film picked up a bit from Friday second shows. However, Nenu Local and Singam are taking a toll on ONV as the former is dominating the cities and the latter is doing well in towns and villages.

Below are the day 1 shares of ONV in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Nizam - 45L
Ceded - 26L
Nellore - 12.7L
Guntur - 37L
Krishna - 8.5L
West - 23L
East - 17.30L
UA - 27L

Total AP & TS Day1 Share: 1.97Cr (Including Fixed Hires)
