Game Over Exposes Taapsee's Real Pulling Power

Taapsee has been telling everyone that she has rejected movies wherein she was asked to cut down her remuneration to accommodate a male lead’s budget.

She has been projecting herself as a star who can bring in openings on her own. But she failed in the first test.

“Game Over” was her first film that is projected as “her” movie. There is no male lead. This is entirely hers.

It was released in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu languages as she is known to all the audiences. But the movie that won rave reviews in South India has failed to bring in good openings.

In all languages put together, “Game Over” has collected mere Rs 4.50 Cr in the first three days.

She has been claiming the successes of “Badla” and “Pink” as reflection of stardom. But both those movies had Amitabh Bachchan as the male lead.

“Game Over” has no male lead at all. And the makers may not even recover print and publicity costs from these collections.

“Game Over” is definitely well-made intelligent thriller. It justifiably won good reviews but box-office is a different ball of game. Taapsee has no pulling power. This has been proved once again.
