American Telugu Association (ATA) celebrated ‘Atlanta ATA Roju’ on November 5th, 2011 at Sai Murali Restaurant, Alpharetta (Georgia) was attended by about 500 members.
Noted music director, Raghu Kunche and famous singer, Vijaya Laksmi were the special entertainers on the occasion. Local talent under the guidance of dance master Shiva Turlapati and Atlanta DJ Ram Durvasula helped entertain the audience with melodious music.
ATA 2012 Conference Convener Karunakar Asireddy welcomed the gathering.
The event was organized by the ATA local coordinators Vikram Sudini and Prasheel Gukanti, in coordination with Karunakar, and Dr. Jaganmohan Rao, convention coordinator. The event was hosted in the honor of all donors, who came forward to support the 12th ATA convention to be held in Atlanta from July 6-8th, 2012.
The names of all donors were announced and were thanked on behalf of ATA. There was a lot of gratitude in the crowd towards SP Reddy (eGenious Consulting), Murali Sajja (Paramount Consulting), Murali Reddy & Devendar Reddy (Charter Global), who donated $25,000 dollars towards the cause. Dr. Srinivas Gangasani, Chair of Fund Raising Committee said that the success of any organization lies on its financial strength and urged the members to strengthen by coming forward to donate generously to make the Atlanta ATA Convention a grand success.
Manohar Kasetti (Co-chair of Fundraising Committee) and Seshagiri Rao Mandava (Chair of Corporate Committee) took the pledges from the audience. It is not out place here to mention that some of the members instantly came forward and announced their pledges to the tune of $350,000 from just Atlanta area.
