The favorite destinations for International students of Indian Origin are USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UK and Ireland. Lifestyle in all these countries is almost the same. All these countries have similar English speaking multicultural societies with plenty of Indian restaurants and grocery stores.
Except UK and Ireland other countries had international student friendly work permit schemes after studies.
The reason USA is a still a No 1 Choice is because of IT Consultancies.
International students who were unable to get jobs through campus placements or directly by themselves through career websites like indeed and monster used to rely on IT consultancies to find them jobs and do visa sponsorship. Even civil, mechanical and other non IT graduates used to get a job through IT consultancies.
However, with the tightening of IT market in USA, OPT students are not being accepted by clients and vendors even as contract employees. Only established IT consultancies with direct clients or preferred vendor relationships are able to place OPT students.
