Man Living In Airport Fearing His Wife

Man Living In Airport Fearing His Wife

We have seen Tom Hanks' 'Terminal' in which he lives in the airport for a political reason.

The film makes us laugh at moments and at at the same time it pushes us to empathize with the plight of the protagonist. In fact, that film was made taking a real life incident into account.

'Terminal' kind of lives are not just one or two. There are a few around the world and one such thing has come into light freshly.

This is about a Chinese man named Wei Jianguo who stepped into the Beijing airport 14 years ago and never went back home.

He is in his 60s now and says that he has chosen the airport life fearing his wife who wanted him not to smoke and drink at all.

"I can't go back home because I have no freedom there. My family told me if I wanted to stay, I had to quit smoking and drinking. If I couldn't do that, I had to give them all my monthly government allowance of 1,000 yuan (AU$200). But then how would I buy my cigarettes and alcohol?" Wei told to the media.

This is in fact one interesting story of how he could manage to escape the eyes of airport police to continue to live there for 14 long years.

Hey! the Indian filmmakers and web series showrunners! put your focus on this story guys.
