Maha Kumbhabhishekam in Bridgewater, NJ

Maha Kumbhabhishekam celebrations have begun at Sri Venkateswara Temple (HTCS), Bridgewater, NJ on June 6th and will continue to June 12th, 2011.

Under His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji spiritual and religious governance, Temple priests along with other priests from Temples in USA, UK and India are conducting the Pushkarotsavam in the traditions prescribed by Aagama Shastras. Several rights such as Sri Vishwaksena Puja, Vasudeva Punyahavachanam, Shuddhi, Vastu Shanti, Agni Pratishtha Moolamantra Homam have already been performed.

Over the next few days, several other pujas will be performed by a chorus of high priests. These pujas include Moolamantra Homam, Manonmana Santhi Homam, Viswaksena Malamantra Homam, Pranadi Dashavayunyasa Homam, and other Homams and pujas.

His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Courtallam Sankaracharya, Paramahamsa Parivrajakacharya, Jagadguru Siddheswarananda Bharati Maha Swamiji also consented to grace this occasion and perform Sri Siva Parivara Maha Kumbhabhishekam.

Sri Venkateswara Temple (Balaji Mandir) invites your presence with family and friends to participate and witness this once in a 12 year grand auspicious event and to receive the blessings of Lord Sri Venkateswara and Lord Siva. On Saturday during the Maha Kumbhabhishekam, Pushpa Vrushti (Flowers sprinkled from the skies by helicopters) is planned. Sri Srinivasa Kalyanam will be performed in the evening.
