IT major Infosys has raised entry-level salaries for freshers, offering compensation packages of up to ₹21 lakh per annum for specialised technology roles.
The move comes as the company steps up hiring to strengthen its AI-first strategy and attract digitally native talent.
The revised pay packages are among the highest for entry-level roles in the Indian IT industry, surpassing even specialised fresher roles at rival firms.
According to social media posts and recruitment banners reviewed by GreatAndhra, Infosys is set to launch an off-campus hiring drive for 2025 engineering and computer science graduates.
The company plans to recruit for specialised technology roles with annual compensation ranging from ₹7 lakh to ₹21 lakh.
The roles include Specialist Programmer (Levels 1 to 3) and Digital Specialist Engineer (trainee). Eligible candidates include BE, BTech, ME, MTech, MCA, and integrated MSc graduates from computer science, IT, and select circuit branches such as ECE and EEE.
The compensation structure includes ₹21 LPA for Specialist Programmer L3 (Trainee), ₹16 LPA for L2, ₹11 LPA for L1, and ₹7 LPA for Digital Specialist Engineer (Trainee).
Infosys has already hired 12,000 freshers in the first half of FY26 and is on track to meet its annual target of 20,000 hires, CFO Jayesh Sanghrajka said during the company’s second-quarter earnings call on October 16.
The company also reported its fifth consecutive quarter of net headcount growth, adding 8,203 employees in Q2. Total headcount now stands at 331,991.
