Balakrishna's Unfiltered Words Hurt Chiranjeevi?

Balakrishna's Unfiltered Words Hurt Chiranjeevi?

Nandamuri Balakrishna knows no filters, no prudence in speech, and no restraint while speaking in public.

Recently, he remarked that actors turning into MLAs aren’t always successful. He boasted that since he has done wonders in Hindupur, the people have continued to elect him.

“I wasn’t elected just because I’m a film actor or the son of N.T. Rama Rao. Many film actors have entered politics and vanished without a trace. I’m not like that,” he stated confidently.

Now, the discussion revolves around whom he was targeting.

The first and most obvious name that comes to mind is Chiranjeevi, who started the Praja Rajyam Party, which later dissolved, fading into political obscurity. Was Balakrishna aiming his words at Chiranjeevi?

If that were the case, it’s worth noting that his party is currently in alliance with Chiranjeevi’s family, in the form of Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena. Would Balakrishna speak this way if he truly had that in mind?

Or was he referring to other actors?

Many, like Kaikala Satyanarayana, Babu Mohan, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Sarada, Jamuna, and others, have ventured into politics only to fade away.

Could Balakrishna be comparing himself to them? Unlikely — his ego is known to be so inflated that he wouldn't even consider these veteran actors his equals.

Was he possibly targeting actors from neighboring states?

Regardless, Balakrishna’s unfiltered and brash speech has become a hot topic today.

Moreover, he stated that while he is fine with receiving the Padma Bhushan, real respect from the central government would be shown only when his father, N.T. Rama Rao, is posthumously awarded the Bharat Ratna.

This is the same Balakrishna who, not long ago, claimed that he doesn’t care about the Bharat Ratna if it’s not given to his father.

Will Modi’s government take his demand seriously and act on it? Only time will tell.
