In the past editions of IPL, the teams were developing a rapport much too close for comfort with the cheerleaders. Since these cheerleaders are young girls from overseas endowed with beauty and good physiques, it was but natural that temptation sets in sooner or later.
Also, at the after match parties where there is no shortage of liquor, money and good food, these cheerleaders are the primary attraction.
These temptations understandably affect the game of the players and hence the IPL management came out with some strict rules for this year’s edition.
The cheerleaders are neither allowed to travel with the players nor allowed to stay at the same hotel. Also, a different set of cheerleaders would be present at each match of the team.
That such precautions had to be taken this time around shows how much the cheerleaders are in demand by the cricketers.
