Apple is the only tech giant hasn't announced layoffs

Despite the current economic uncertainty, Apple has yet to announce any layoffs among its staff. This sets it apart from many of its tech industry peers, including Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet, and Meta, who have all implemented job cuts in recent months.

The reason for these layoffs among tech companies is often attributed to macroeconomic conditions and the possibility of a recession. However, another contributing factor is the rapid expansion of hiring in the tech industry over the last two years.

With the advent of widespread Covid lockdowns, internet applications became increasingly important, leading to a surge in business for many tech companies. As a result, they continued to hire large numbers of employees in anticipation of continued growth.

However, with growth now slowing, these companies are now having to adjust their workforce accordingly.

Apple, on the other hand, has not significantly increased its hiring rate in recent years and thus has not felt the need to implement layoffs.
