SN Eye Camp in Revanth Reddy Village Kondareddy Pally

Sankara Nethralaya recently organized a high-impact free eye care camp in Kondareddypalli, the native village of the Honorable Chief Minister of Telangana, Shri Revanth Reddy. This camp was held in memory of his late parents and marks the 20th eye camp conducted by the institution in the state.

Under the visionary leadership of Shri Balareddy Indurthi, President of Sankara Nethralaya USA, and with the strong support of Shri Anumula Krishna Reddy, brother of the Chief Minister, the camp was executed with great success. Shri Indurthi Ganapathi Reddy, Managing Director of the Telangana State Department of Education, also played a key role in facilitating the initiative.

Chief Minister Shri Revanth Reddy expressed his appreciation to Sankara Nethralaya and extended heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the program.

During the camp, a total of 1,888 individuals received eye screenings. Of these, 184 patients underwent successful cataract surgeries performed on-site in Sankara Nethralaya’s state-of-the-art mobile surgical units. Shri Anumula Rajashekar Reddy and Shri Anumula Vema Reddy oversaw the on-ground coordination of the camp and also arranged free meal services for all patients and attendees.

Dr. Girish Rao, President of Medical Research Foundation; Mr. Shyam Appali,Mr. Murthy Rekhapalli, Mr. Vamsi Krishna Eruvaram, all key members of the Sankara Nethralaya USA Executive Committee; and Houston trustee Mr. Narayana Reddy Indurthi extended their full support. The organization expressed its special thanks to these individuals for their dedication and contributions.

Spanning ten days, the camp was a deeply impactful humanitarian effort. Several prominent dignitaries visited and commended the Sankara Nethralaya team for their outstanding service. Among them were MP Shri Mallu Ravi, Telangana Livestock Development Board Chairman Shri Gutta Amit Reddy, Telangana State Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Society Chairman Shri K.V.N. Reddy, TASK CEO Shri Raghavender Sunkireddy, and Anusha Projects Managing Director Shri Jalandhar Reddy.

Residents of Kondareddypalli and surrounding villages expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Sankara Nethralaya, acknowledging the life-changing impact of the services provided. Similar eye camps previously held in Macharam, Achampet, Dindichintapalli, Polkumpalli, Veldanda, Amangal, and Nandi Vaddeman have also brought relief and hope to thousands.

The local community and visiting dignitaries voiced strong support for the continued expansion of such camps and reaffirmed their commitment to backing Sankara Nethralaya’s mission of accessible, high-quality eye care for the underprivileged.
