Industrialist and Telugu Desam Party candidate from Guntur parliamentary constituency Galla Jayadev is keeping his fingers crossed over the poll outcome, following reports that he had to wage a very tough battle.
According to party sources, Jayadev would have been in a better position had Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu campaigned for him in the elections.
Mahesh, who happens to be Jayadev’s brother-in-law, just made a twitter comment, expressing support to the latter and asking his fans to vote for him. Even his father Krishna extended support to Jayadev.
However, it did not seem to have much impact on Mahesh Babu fans.
“This would have been different had Mahesh himself entered the battle and campaigned for Jayadev. All said and done, Prince has a huge fan following compared to Pawan Kalyan. May be Mahesh kept himself away from the campaign since Pawan is already in the field and perhaps, he did not want to send any wrong message to his fans,” an observer commented.
