With the Telangana government headed by K Chandrasekhar Rao hell bent on taking over 11 acres of Osmania University lands, several questions are being raised by Telangana protagonists on his sincerity towards Telangana cause.
KCR is eyeing lands belonging only to Telangana institutions, whether it is Chest Hospital at Erragadda, Secunderabad Gymkhana and Bison Polo grounds or the Osmania University lands. He even threatened to take over lands belonging to Agricutural University and Central University. All these lands are prime properties of Telangana.
However, the Chief Minister did not dare to talk about taking over vast extent of lands occupied by big business people of Andhra.
One of the classic examples is Ramoji Film City, which has huge tracts of land right from the Vijayawada national highway to the actual film city. Thousands of acres of land on either side of the road leading to the film city are left barren. If KCR has so much concern for poor, he should take over those waste lands and construct colonies for poor.
But KCR will not utter a word about RFC lands. Instead, he describes RFC as the magnificent structure and praises the vision of Ramoji. Similarly, he can also take back hundreds of acres held by big Andhra people in the name of convention centres, farm houses and also special economic zones which have now turned into real estate ventures. It is better he focuses on those properties, instead of the real Telangana assets.
