Who Was The Liaison Between Naidu, KCR?

The unusual bonhomie displayed by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister with his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao at the foundation stone laying function for Amaravati, the proposed AP capital, has naturally evoked several doubts among their political opponents.

The obvious doubt one would get is whether the sudden love between Naidu and KCR was only to hush up the cash-for-vote and telephone tapping cases involving both the leaders.

And there is enough reason to suspect the same, as the cases have not been progressing an inch further and all the accused in the cases are out. Both the governments have not been pursuing the cases anymore.

The question is who would have acted as a liaison between Naidu and KCR.

According to some sources, it was Governor E S L Narasimhan who had brought about the truce between the two leaders by telling them that it would only complicate the matters further.

Secondly, there is also a belief that Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu might have brought about the compromise between the two on business interests.

Thirdly, there is a talk that none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had personally interfered and warned Naidu and KCR against indulging in a bitter battle.

He reportedly told them that unless both of them bury the hatchet, the Centre would not be able to help any State.

Congress leaders in Telangana are now saying that they are aware of the person who had mediated between Naidu and KCR.

“We know the entire deal and will expose the details of the person who acted as a liaison between the two at an appropriate time,” a Telangana Congress leader said.
