YSR Congress has upped the ante against the TDP leaders who have been calling YS Jaganmohan Reddy names ever since he said that a day will come when people will resort to pelting stones on Chandrababu Naidu if he fails fulfill the poll promises.
“What our leader has said was in a figurative sense that people will vent their ire if they are deceived by not honouring the poll promises and TDP leaders passing snide remarks and on the psychiatric status of Jagan is uncalled for and ridiculous,” party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu told reporters here on Thursday.
“Though it is not our policy to attack people on personal deficiencies since, the TDP leaders have gone overboard, it should be recalled that Chadrababu Naidu’s brother-in-law N Balakrishna was pronounced as mentally unsound after the shoot-out at his residence. The Chief Minister’s younger brother also has mental illness and when it comes to health condition, mental or otherwise on relative terms between the Chief Minister and N Chandrababu Naidu and Jagan, it is common knowledge as to who is healthier,” he said.
Ambati said the TDP leaders taking it in real terms have launched an uncalled for personal attack and they should verify facts before going to press.
He added that the TDP should concentrate on ways and means to fulfill the poll promises instead of using their lung power unnecessarily.
