Sinking Cong Ship Being Deserted

Several Congress MLAs and ministers from Seemandhra region have started quitting the party soon after the passage of Telangana bill in Lok Sabha on Tuesday.

The first to resign was Infrastructure and Investment Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao who quit both the post and primary membership of the party in protest against bifurcation of the State.

Next to follow was Secondary Education Minister Parthasarathy. A large number of MLAs also quit the party and the posts.

At the Central level, Union Ministers Daggubati Purandeshwari and M M Pallam Raju resigned from the posts.

Purandeshwari’s husband Daggubati Venkateshwara Rao also sent in his resignation letter to the party president, say sources.
