Seemandhra Bizmen In Hyd Left Naidu Tongue-Tied!

Seemandhra Bizmen In Hyd Left Naidu Tongue-Tied!

Why did AP Chief Minister and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu kept mum on KCR and TRS during GHMC election public meeting in Hyderabad on Tuesday?

Though Naidu spoke for over half-an-hour, he did not utter a single word against Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao or TRS, who are on a mission to eliminate TDP from Telangana by encouraging defections.

Normally, it's common to make a scathing attack on Opposition leaders and parties in any election meeting.

But Naidu avoiding KCR and TRS in the crucial GHMC elections and TDP fighting a do or die battle with TRS in Hyderabad and Telangana came as a shock not only to TDP leaders and activists but also leaders and cadre from it's ally BJP, who were present in the meeting.

Party leaders and cadre expected fireworks from Naidu on KCR and TRS since TDP had lost its MLAs to TRS in GHMC limits due to defections.

TDP insiders say soon after Naidu's participation in election meeting was confirmed on January 10, he received several calls from top businessmen, film producers, investors hailing from Seemandhra region and residing in Hyderabad, not to complicate and precipitate the things by attacking KCR and TRS and instead confine to the development of Hyderabad he achieved during his earlier stint as CM of Undivided AP.

They reportedly told Naidu that they have been leading a peaceful life in Hyderabad today and they were not facing any problem with KCR & Co and raking up regional issues again for GHMC elections would only make things tougher for them in Hyderabad.

Most of these bigwigs are supporters of TDP and are donating generously for TDP activities for decades.

Insiders say it is for this reason Naidu came to the venue pre-planned not to mention even the names of KCR and TRS, leave alone making adverse remarks against them.

He instead left the choice of criticising KCR and TRS to TDP working president and MLA A Revanth Reddy and his son Lokesh. Both took a dig at TRS and KCR to maintain the election temp among the party leaders and cadre.
