Revanth in Cong, Mothkupalli in TRS?

Revanth in Cong, Mothkupalli in TRS?

The Telugu Desam Party in Telangana is set for further collapse with some its top leaders getting ready to jump into other parties, according to rumours doing rounds in political circles.

Indications are that Telangana TDP working president and Kodangal MLA A Revanth Reddy is likely to join the Congress party sooner or later.

According to the reports, Revanth is in touch with the Congress high command which has almost given a green signal to him to join the party.

However, Revanth is said to be demanding a key position in the party. A decision to this effect is likely to be taken after Rahul Gandhi takes over as the AICC president this month end.

Apparently, the high command has felt that the party is in need of young blood at this stage and Revanth would perfectly fit the bill. Since he is from the powerful Reddy community, it will be an added strength, say the reports.

On the other hand, another senior leader and former minister Mothkupalli Narasimhulu is considering the option of joining the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.

He is terribly upset for being denied the Governor post and angry with party president N Chandrababu Naidu for not taking up his case seriously. He realised that he has no future in politics, if he continues in TDP.

A powerful Dalit leader from Bhongir district, his entry would definitely be a plus point for the party. However, there has not been any response from the TRS leadership so far, since his entry would spoil the chances of several TRS loyalist in Bhongir district.

He is learnt to have told the TRS leadership that he would prefer to go to upper house in Delhi, rather than coming in the way of other TRS leaders in assembly polls.

Let us see what is going to happen.
